Can you tell the story in only one sentence? Don’t think that you can? Well there are many people who have! Surprised. Well you can check out the site ”One Sentence” where people were invited to post true stories in one sentence. I must say that I was amazed by the fact that the entire chain of events fit consisely into one sentence. That’s the true beauty of writing - being able to get to the heart of the matter. Now that’s not to say that we should not add the fluff or glitz to pad out the story. There are times when that is necessary. However when you are doing articles sometimes the fluff distracts the reader who wants to get to the heart of the matter without the padding. The trick is being able to do both and still keep the reader’s attention.
Happy writing
